It Couldn't Happen

And that one wish you want cannot be to grant,
You never thought your life was mislead,
And you best friend is now pregnant.
You never thought your boyfriend would run off,
And the time you needed him when you were sick,
You were left alone blood to cough,
And when you called him, he said something awful so that conversation ended with a click.
You never thought it would be just you and your best friend,
And that you would be sittin here alone,
You never thought you would need someone's helping hand lend,
With your best friend cryin you're holdin her baby while she's on the phone.
You never thought your best friend would take care of you,
And she put you in a big house where you live,
You never thought she would be strong even after all she's been through,
It couldn't happpen to you again, now you're the one with the helping hand to give. |
