The Sound And Fury
written by Mars_Phoenix11:31 PM 11/13/04I'm a walking shadow full of sound and fury,
The words of a great poet declares the jury,
But I kill this great art every time I turn the tables,
Hah - "Juliet is the sun" is just another fable,
Well my shadow he carries a broken heart,
Wounded from a lost love time tore apart,
And I'm smothered by words signifying nothing,
But no, these words they must mean something.
"To Be Or Not To Be;"
I choose not to be a player on this stage
Where i'm forced to swallow lines that I hate,
Yet I continue to rage against the state
Of affairs in this bad dream called life.
But stop I'm confusing the issue,
I feel like a stone sinking into the ocean
Falling yet floating through this my watery tomb,
I taste the words on my tongue like acid rain
That falls from the Heavens above,
Wish I was re-born from the ashes like the Phoenix,
Alive again with 17 years in my head without a care.
A Fallen shadow in a world where
"Violent delights have violent ends." |
