» Poem: My Perfect Death
My Perfect Death
written by Mars_Phoenix

If I had to pick the perfect death
To face when I have little or no time left,
I'd have to take a look and see,
What best method would fit me.

I could tie a noose and hang myself,
Swinging from the old oak in the field round back,
We ran round in circles till we fell over,
Spent the whole day lying there in the sun,
Swinging on this tree I want to break free and run.

I could take a blade and slit my wrists,
Soak it up in a bath of warm water,
Where I had you once and it felt so true,
Let the haze of your love flow through my viens,
My blood and yours shared in this moment of pain.

I could take some pills and swallow them all,
And you told me to stop but I wouldn't listen,
I took my hit and pushed you away,
Fuck off bitch go home if you want im gonna stay,
You ran away that night while I lay in bed shaking till I died inside the next day.

Maybe I could pick the best way to die,
To stand on my roof looking into the night I try,
To find myself out there where I know I lost you,
But maybe If I die here I'll meet you once again,
No.
I think the best way to die is
To die in love....

"The Gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be more lovely than you are now. We will never be here again."

Heh. Love makes me want to live, and yet to die simultaneously...I think you definitely captured that...
