Unfeigned Dreams

Atrocious dreams once captured my mind,
They stole my whole soul and left my heart blind.
Blinded I now walk the path I revere,
With only one thought, and that?s to persevere.

Haunted by dreams that verge on reality.
I?ve done nothing but pray and dealt with calamity.
Since all part of life has a start as well as a finish,
Those evil dreams at one point I?ll make sure I diminish.

I cannot help but ponder what happens now.
First thought that comes to mind, is take a vow,
To get my soul back so I can become the old me.
When I get it back, I?ll set my mind free.

Without my own soul, I don?t know who I am.
Whoever stole that from me, I will surely condemn.
Relentless I push on to find out the truth,
This truth so profound, that I?ve searched on from youth.

Yet sometimes the truth isn?t easy to obtain.
Try not having a soul; it can drive you insane.
I now have to face death to regain my own soul,
And I will do it with pleasure, for it will make me whole.
