» Poem: Color Me Pretty
Color Me Pretty
written by lost_and_forgotten
10:42 PM 11/21/04
Color me pretty
A color you prefer
Color me your lovely thoughts
That never do occur

Don't color me red
For wounds or blood
Or brown for feet
That drag through mud

Don't color me black
For and orphaned child
Or orange for a fire
Growing so wild

Don't color me white
For the face of the dead
Or yellow for sands
That burn and that shred

But color me pretty
A color you prefer
Color me your lovely thoughts
That never do occur
