» Poem: My Own Cheerleader
My Own Cheerleader
written by lost_and_forgotten
11:16 PM 11/21/04
Everyone always tries to bring me down
Telling me I can't do anything right
But I am happy with myself
And this is my life
Not yours.
Everyone always tries to bring me down
Telling me to give up hope because
I'll never amount to anything
But I'll keep persuing
To prove you wrong.
Everyone always tries to bring me down
Telling me I fail at life
But I am only fifteen years old
And I have more success
Than you.
Everyone always tries to bring me down
Because they are insecure about themselves
They are immature and thoughtless
And ignorant beyond my dreams
Which is why I must prove them wrong.
