All alone,
with distant thought,
'tis not life I seek,
but death I sought.
Behind the shadows,
of empty fear,
I safely hide,
unshed tears.
I hold no life,
I seek no death,
my soul departs,
with every breath.
I wander alone,
within this cage,
with seething hate,
and burning rage.
Within the mists,
above the stone,
a fallen mask,
hides the throne.
And here I am,
with distant thought,
'tis no life to seek,
no death to be sought |
