» Poem: Burning Sadness
Burning Sadness
written by trulybroken57
07:14 AM 11/27/04
The sadness
Like an open flame
Is slowly, steadily
Burning my soul away.
The ashes of
My once bright past
Blow away in the wind.
I remember a time
When there was
No sadness
So long, so long ago.
Over the years
That flame has lingered
And I'll never forget
The sadness
