» Poem: Wish You Were
Wish You Were
written by Mars_Phoenix

So they try and frame my game,
Everytime they try it turns out the same,
Maybe you'll realise i'm not the one to blame,
For your situation or the state of the nation,
I was born for a reason as are we all,
Yet I refuse to smile and fall into line,
You envy me yet I wish you were mine,

Pressure me till you get your way,
It don't matter cause you know i'll stay,
I never changed I'll always be the same,
You don't even know my name,
You can't ever know the pain
Of being left standing in the rain,
The weight of the world feelin the strain,
Even after all of this what did I gain?

Nothing but flickers of light in the dark,
Candles silhouette my mark,
You'll never see the spark in my eyes,
All I hear are lies and goodbyes,
Thing is all I do is break my back and try,
To be this hero you so admire,
To be with the girl; A little liar.
