Shell
written by Morbid Angel11:38 PM 12/1/04Blasted out of my shell,
forever passed me by as I bled in my hell,
now I'm running with the wind in my hair,
not sure if anybodies following me but I couldn't really care.
It's the blood running through my fingers and dripping onto the ground,
escaping my body gently as I scream without a sound.
A smile on my face and a wound on my arm,
but I'll keep running free from this addicting self harm.
See the light ahead of me and hold out my hand,
trying to grasp onto reality but my head thuds towards the ground.
One bright flash and my light is gone,
nothing there but a memory of what has now gone.
I'll never fight you again. |
