Swing
written by Morbid Angel03:36 PM 12/5/04A piece of your mind is reflected in my eyes, so similar yet so broken, so happy yet so hopeless. Hanging from the thread of your smile. I've seen so much in a short space of time, been so broken and lost all that is mine. But still I remain strong, it feels like forever but it's only been this long. You held me in your arms, and I took a piece of your heart. I wrote you so many words, so many letters with everything I'm worth. And now when I take your hand, I hold a piece of you as strong as I stand. Time passed by and we both changed, maybe for the better but my feelings remain the same. Never forgive and never forget, working for everything I own to protect. It goes back and forth, like the second reading of a book. It's a circle of love and hate, each second without you I'm wasting away. Everything once forgotten and carried away by the wind, but you kept me hanging by the frayed ends of a string. Swing. |

Never forgive and never forget. Too true. Forgive and forget is a load of bullshit. You can never truly forget something that needs to be forgiven, and normally if something's gone wrong, then it doesn't deserve your forgiveness. nice poem |
