Depression's Impact

Is weighing down
Heavily upon my shoulders.
I'm so tired,
Yet I can't sleep,
For these thoughts
Won't leave me be.
I tell everyone to
Leave me alone,
That I can handle it,
But I can't,
I need you
Here with me-
To tell me
That it's okay.
I feel like
I don't deserve you,
But if I
Didn't have you
I would have
No reason to exist.
I wish that
I could smile for you,
And truly mean it.
But that is near impossible,
For this sadness
Just won't lift |
