Empty and alone

That adults cannot see
We slit our wrists and we feel these things
Why wont they let us be
Cos we have our hearts and we try real hard
To be happy and be free
But at the end of the day we're in desperation
And we refuse to leave
But theres an answer among our empty bodies
We just have to dig a bit more
when you come to the end of your searching
You'll know what a life is for. |

| Of course adults don't understand. Why would they understand when they've gone through exactly the same and worse? Of course adults can't see. They can't see what's already happened to them can they? Yeah, why wont adults let you be? It's not like they care is it? It's not like they could relate in some point of there lives. Adults haven't felt desperation before, no. Of course they haven't. Try bringing up 5 kids on government money as a single parent. That can't be near the desperation you feel can it? |
