Remains
written by Morbid Angel12:04 PM 12/11/04| A few hours ago you sat in the place I run my hand, you lay bleeding so gently, begging me to understand. Now it remains, just an empty space, where you once held me with a tear on your face. You've let her lie so hard that the truth has turned to nothing, your heart is so warm that she doesn't deserve your loving. I'm the one that felt your heart beating, when you had no faith in yourself I'm the one that kept you believing, Now it remains, just an empty space, where you once kissed me with a smile on your face. People fade away but feelings always burn, they hit you whichever direction you turn, but it seems that now you've gone you took my heart with you. If you are my angel then she's holding your wings, gripping them so tightly to stop you flying back to me. Now it remains, just an empty space, where you once loved me with blood on your face. I reach out to where your body lay as you closed your eyes with pain, last time you loved me and you've done it again. But it's all in my head and your feelings aren't true, left without a memory, just an empty picture of you. In every thought I have, she's laughing behind your back, she knows that I love you, she see's my heart crack. You're such a fool for her smile, seems so beautiful and sweet, to you she's so perfect...and then theres just me. Now it remains, just an empty space, where I once lost you with such pain in my face. |
