» Poem: What's Behind The Curtain
What's Behind The Curtain
written by trulybroken57
02:25 PM 12/11/04
Pulling back
The tattered curtain
To reveal a
Tearstained face,
Her eyes tell
A story of untold fears.
Everyday
She sits
Behind this curtain,
Hoping that someday
Her show will go on.
But doesn't she see
That no one can
Tell her story
For she won't
Let anyone in
To see the lines
Of the play
She has written.
A play about
A lonely girl,
A hopeless girl
Wishing that
Someday,
Someone could understand her
And see the person
Trapped inside,
And help her
Raise her curtain
