» Poem: She Just Wasn't Good Enough
She Just Wasn't Good Enough
written by xxxvampire_loverxxx

She was never a straight A student
She occasionally got D's and F's
Her parents ran her down all the time
She just wasn't good enough

She would rather stay in her room
Dark curtains, dim lights, music blaring
Than be out partying with her friends
She just wasn't good enough

She wore dark clothes and heavy eyeliner
She didn't want to be talked to
She got her wish, no one could hurt her
She just wasn't good enough

She slit her wrists
And laid in despare
In her own blood for hours
In her mind, she thought that she just wasn't good enough

Her soul was hidden, lost and hurt
She walked alone for years
She lost all of her sanity
Because she just wasn't good enough

She recalled the days
Her parents would yell
And scream in her direction
She sat down, alond and thought, "I've never been, nor will I ever be good enough; not even for me."
