» Poem: For A Second In Time
For A Second In Time
written by Morbid Angel

For that one moment when I closed my eyes, my head rested on your shoulder my eyes began to cry. It wasn't out of pain or the things I've felt before, it was because I knew that the moment would be gone as soon as you walked out the door. Of course I was right for in a second you forgot, your mind might have blanked it out but mine certainly did not. Next time she hurts you I actually want you to turn to me, but I won't let you walk back, I'll make you see. She's not worth fighting for and you know that I'm right, I don't understand why you keep coming back to me each time. If I mean nothing then why have I ever felt your hand, if we're not meant to be then why do I understand, if this one second wasn't worth the rest of my life, then why do I still remember everytime I close my eyes.
