» Poem: Burning Flesh
Burning Flesh
written by blackened_rose
04:51 AM 12/21/04
Fire, bright, warm, soothing
Smoke drifts in the air
Like butterflies wondering
Unto the land they are fair
Another exicution
Another life taken
For a single women
His life is forsaken
Hands behind his back
Tied to a stake
Bundles of sticks around him
For his life they will take
Fire licks his flesh
Burns his skin
Smoke fills his lungs
Just like the sin
Love, another death
For his it caused
Joy another hope
For his life now falls
Fire eats away his skin
Smoke kills his soul
Death it all brings
For she has stole
Screams leave his mouth
As he withers in pain
His eyes start to tear
As he goes insane
Now turned to ash
His once handsome skin
Forever black and hot
As his life now dims
Fare thee well
For love is no glory
Death is all he got
For that's the end of the story
