And So It Goes
written by Morbid Angel12:51 PM 12/21/04| And so it goes that you break your bones, the liar attacks and stabs you in the back. Nothing lasts forever and everything changed, one little detail can curse a persons name. "Forever trust in who we are", remember that line? It was from our favourite song. Can't be much trust in a relationship built on lies, empty emotions and cold blind eyes. "Couldn't be much more from the heart", but everything faded and we're back to the start. And so it goes that you need to learn to love again, put in your old eyes and get a new brain. To forget all the lies then thats what it must take, to forget all the untold secrets you need a new name. A new identity. You're only the same person patially. You're no longer the guy I fell in love with, the guy I built my future with, and then it all goes back. Back to the past. To the times when you hurt me, revenge is a bitch, gave me a reason to use it, you pushed the switch. I don't want to do this because like I said I love you, but you should of realised sooner, all it took was the truth. And then our hearts lay forsaken like the love you left behind, I liked it better when they were shut but I've finally opened my eyes. It was as simple as just saying I was right, you made it so much worse when you stitched together all those lies. And so it goes that I don't mean this, I can't handle this, I hate this, I love you and I mean it. So why? |
