» Poem: The Storm That Saved Me
The Storm That Saved Me
written by lost_and_forgotten

The sky darkens and a breeze begins to blow
Quickening with every breath we take
As we move towards shelter the rain falls down
A flash of light and the sky begins to quake

The birds have all gone and the horses run wild
They all want to get away from here
They know that something is terribly wrong
And do not want to stay anywhere near

The coulds begin to crackle and pop
And rain is flooding the ground
The wind is knocking over trees
And hail is beginning to pound

We hear a loud noise that sounds like a train
As we jump into the cellar
Then all of a sudden the doors fly open
The rope was cut by a propeller

We see the mosnter as it whooshes by
Destroying everything we've ever known
I smile in hope of a new beginning
Thanks to this killing cyclone

Now that everything has been blown away
We can move and begin a new life
And since we have nothing it can only get better
So I have no more missery of strife
