Falling From Innocence

Wake me up from this dream I'm losing me,
Wake me up from this nightmare I'm stealing,
I can't choke out the words for a sentence,
Help me, wake me, I'm falling from innocence.

I suppose when I was that religous girl,
Who never did anything wrong,
I wanted you more then I wanted my world,
And wanting you was far too long.

So I didn't wait and I asked you to hangout,
You said no maybe some other day,
I didn't cry I was strong so I didn't let it out,
But sometimes I want you to talk to me and stay.

Wake me up from this dream I'm losing me,
Wake me up from this nightmare I'm stealing,
I can't choke out the words for a sentence,
Help me, wake me, I'm falling from innocence.

You didn't like me you laughed when you walked by,
Maybe I needed to change my appearence for you,
Look what the call 'sexy' and maybe for you, 'fly',
So I went to the mall and walked it through.

I came out with a beautiful, but 'sexy' skirt,
Some six inch heals with those wrap around laces,
That butterfly sleeved and pretty shirt,
Some make up and combs that came in cases.

Wake me up from this dream I'm losing me,
Wake me up from this nightmare I'm stealing,
I can't choke out the words for a sentence,
Help me, wake me, I'm falling from innocence.

I wore that stuff the next day and you wanted me,
You didn't laugh you actually were looking me down,
I knew you wanted me bad and you wouldn't flee,
Me and you were the couple we brought in a crowd.

We watched the movies, people, the stars,
You caressed my skin and kissed my chest,
We went by everyone else in your race car,
I went home and got yelled at for hickies on my neck.

Wake me up from this dream I'm losing me,
Wake me up from this nightmare I'm stealing,
I can't choke out the words for a sentence,
Help me, wake me, I'm falling from innocence.

You started to make me a bad girl,
Thieving, hurting people, I let myself slip,
I didn't have anything anymore, no religous world,
Help help help! I'm loosing my grip.

I just wanted to be perfect for you but now it's over,
I got drunk did really bad stuff,
Because I wasn't exactly sober,
I made it too rough.

Wake me up from this dream I'm losing me,
Wake me up from this nightmare I'm stealing,
I can't choke out the words for a sentence,
Help me, wake me, I'm falling from innocence.

I took it too far,
Now I'm alone,
And not in your car.

Wake me up from this dream I'm losing me,
Wake me up from this nightmare I'm stealing,
I can't choke out the words for a sentence,
Help me, wake me, I'm falling from innocence....
