» Poem: On the edge of the cliff
On the edge of the cliff
written by The grey raven
08:36 PM 12/23/04
Looking down I can see
Spread out below the cliff the sea
Waves crash off the jagged rocks
Should I do it or should I not?
Gulls above me wheel in the sky
Like vultures circling potential prey
The wind blows with all its strength
As if to push me away from the edge
The clouds have changed the sky from blue
Into a forboding dark grey hue
I swallow all the doubt I have left
And take a slow and weary step
Oh shit! I can't go back now!
I need to stop myself, but how?
Too late! I hit the jagged rocks
Taking all the life I've got
Then swept up by the mighty sea
And nothing more is left of me
