I Said I Loved You, But I Lied

I said I didn't, but I cried.
I said I wouldn't, but I did.
I couldn't let you find out, I couldn't hurt you again.
I said I understood, but I didn't at all.
And I thought I needed someone to break my fall.
I said I cared, but it wasn't true.
Come to think of it, I've only lied to you. |
