I'll Meet You On The Battlefield
written by Mars_Phoenix03:19 PM 12/29/04I'll meet you on the battlefield,
Inbetween the lines,
Inbetween black and white,
And if I took your place would it be the same,
And if this plan were to fail would I be to blame?
And I don't think I can hold on,
Cause this candles growing weak.
We're all born into this world,
Thinking will we live another week.
And if I stopped to look would I even dare?
And if I were the hand to help you up would you even care?
And So:
Its that same old reason;
Some old war.
Another short story begins with bitter end,
Dogtags wrapped around my heart,
These things we carry,
They tear us apart.
And If I could would I walk a little further?
And If I could would I run a little faster.
Bitter though I seem,
I'm that long fall in your dream,
Subway car I share a look,
With the girl who believes in me.
Yes I do I walk through
Yes I do I walk through you,
That ghost in your eyes,
Reflection of still water and shade,
As the Blanket falls over us all,
My last star it shines for you,
Silhouette of a girl;
So share this seat and we'll take a ride,
To your world and back,
Window seat - pick your side. |
