in my darkness

into my darkness
two streams of light
are focused
on my soul,
keeping me here
and away from emptiness.
my heart is
slowly filling
from its lonely state.
in my darkness,
blinded by the light,
my soul adjusts
to the blackness.
it takes awhile
to make me understand
why this light is here,
but now i see
that without it
i am lonely
and forgotten,
lying broken
in my darkness... |
