my dying soul (please read and comment)

drifting farther away from me
than ever before.
as the night is rising
i'm feeling cold
and unreachable....
my shadow is fading,
slowly disappearing until i
can't see it anymore.
i've left everything behind me,
left to ashes in the distance
and now as the wind picks up
everything i ever had
is blowing away,
lost forever...
i'm drowning in the music,
letting the words carry me away
and as i close my eyes
i feel my pain
stripping me of all emotion,
there is nothing inside me now.
am i in too deep?
can you still reach me?
i won't hurt you,
i know how it feels to be hurt,
to feel the tears fall.
i cannot seem to get warm again,
i'm cold and alone,
left to scream in the darkness
as the rain is falling, while the thunder cracks
to drown out the sounds
of my dying soul |
