» Poem: Rainy Days
Rainy Days
written by psycho_bunny

Rain drops tickle my skin,
storm clouds boggle my mind,
lightning flashes in my eyes...
Earth turns to mud,
trees bend to the breeze,
I listen to the music it plays...
I love rainy days.

I dance through the rain soaked grass,
laughing as I hear the thunder crash,
wondering how much longer my fun will last,
remembering all the rainy days of the past.

The sun is no longer seeable,
I find this rather agreeable.
With no sun to shine,
this days all mine.
Nobody’s around to bother my peace,
Its like the rest of the world is asleep,
as rain drops fall from the sky,
for all I know I might be the only person alive,
and that would suite me just fine.

If I cry my tears will be unseen,
they will be just a few more rain drops in the storm,
and no one will ever know.
I could scream and the thunder would hide it away.
And if I so choose, I will dance to the timing of the lightning,
just to see what the neighbors will say...

Rain drops tickle my skin,
storm clouds boggle my mind,
lightning flashes in my eyes...
Earth turns to mud,
trees bend to the breeze,
I listen to the music it plays...
I love rainy days.
