» Poem: Trying To Forget
Trying To Forget
written by Morbid Angel
10:08 PM 1/23/05
After holding on for so long,
You'd think the air I breathe would turn to stone.
I'm really trying to let go,
I'm so sorry for being alone.

I take a step for every thought of you,
I'm beggining to wonder if it's in the wrong direction.
This way leads to agony,
And this one leads to perfection.

But once again,
I make a mistake,
The path I choose,
Leads me to lose.

Everything I touch seems to fall apart,
Except for you hand.
I know for sure when I touch your skin,
I might finally find someone who'll understand.

You have to lose to appreciate winning,
Some people are given it on a plate.
They don't know what it's like to fall,
They're always been given it not a second too late.

But I play the game,
And I'm in it to win.
I'll trip on my way,
And maybe I'll sin.

But I don't believe in hell,
So thats ok.
