Crime And Punishment
written by Morbid Angel10:56 PM 1/23/05I don't hate you enough to pretend you were never real,
But I don't love you enough to cry.
To erase you from my eyes just wouldn't be right,
To take you in my arms would be a crime.
I haven't held you yet so why am I in court,
Standing in a room full of faces.
Defending myself for something I haven't done,
My life lies in the hands of strangers.
I'm lieing in my cell banging my head on the wall,
Empty eyes staring into space.
Curled up on a damp and dirty floor,
Counting down the days.
Until you're mine again.
I just didn't realise they'd thrown away the key.
Make you mine again.
Escape this silent misery. |
