» Poem: Hotel Life
Hotel Life
written by SuperBob
07:52 AM 7/4/04
Time ticks on...
Faster and faster until it's gone
We all say that we love the ones we miss
But these nights rarely ever end with a kiss
Until the day breaks sleep refuses my arms
Just like the rest, unable to persuade it with charms
All that was ever wanted has been forlorn
Now what the world has left will never be mourned
The skies churn in the hope of new eyes
When we who are older know all of the lies
There is nothing around here to make you stay
You can leave Hotel Life just remember to pay
No matter what's done there is always a cost
Sometimes we pay less for any given loss
The only way to stop the complaints and the fear
Is to have you protect me forever more Beloved Dear
