» Poem: As I Fall
As I Fall
written by maledeth

My ruins lie intact.
Vanity's bliss. The only caress.
I will take away my pain today,
as I shall bleed the memories tomorrow.
Sheltered in a separating sorrow.
Decadence stood on diminished grounds.
Foundation of the ever-hollow.
Know my soul can never be found.

Can you say you've tried to save me?
How many times must silence be in every sound?
Have you ever seen an angel lately?
Well, witness his fall to the ebony grounds.

My glory is etched in me.
Why must you try if you can never find?
Can't you see that I'm down and bleeding?
No shattered saint for the manic insane.
I'd touch your hand if it meant no pain.
I'd breath your mist if it would take me away.
I'd deafen you from my ending words, to be.
I'd kiss those lips if it only meant one thing...

As I fall...
I'd grasp your lips once more.
And call you mine!
To close the parting doors.
As I fall!
I'd wilt once more,
and have you like I did before,
but now...
Time wastes 'way, as I fall....
