» Poem: Angels Falling
Angels Falling
written by Morbid Angel

Fuck broken wings,
I can't fix you anymore.
I'll just let you keep on falling,
To meet my feet at the floor.
I've been taught to think you'd save me,
Didn't think I'd end up alone.
For all I've done you don't repay me,
You'll break when I'm gone.
You're sweetest blue eyes,
Seem to cry at every turn,
Filling up with tears,
I can't wipe them away anymore.
You seem to forget that you were sent to heal me,
But you're bringing me down,
You weren't sent to steal me.
Keep falling down.
I can't watch you die,
I feel as if the responcibility is mine,
To keep you alive,
You're my angel falling.
