» Poem: Bled For A Secret
Bled For A Secret
written by Morbid Angel
09:52 PM 1/26/05
She bled for a secret,
A moment to call her own,
Trying to escape those eyes,
That followed her around the room.

Asking her why she loved him,
Why she lay dead in his arms,
Do his lies torment you?
Don't they just tear you apart?

Yes they fucking do,
But it's got nothing to do with you,
She and I are trying to hold on strong,
The strings of life keep pulling me along.

And it feels like I've lost control,
Not taking my own paths,
Being told where to go,
Echoing, screeching laughs.

Those eyes they send a shiver,
To the very depths of my spine,
My heart it skips a beat,
When I sense their eyes on mine.
