» Poem: good bye, :'(
good bye, :'(

Sitting here in the dark so sad and alone.
I remember the days I was with you and I begin to moan.
I lost the one person I loved with all my heart,
I feel so empty and torn apart.

It happened that one night when I was with you,
We was snuggled in each others arms us just the two.
You looked into my eyes and declared your love for me,
And I knew right then and there that you and I were meant to be.
Then you spoke my name and said you had something to say,
That you were called to go to war, and I felt like running away.
Tears begin to run down my cheeks, as you kissed me tenderly,
I fell apart in your arms as I begin to weep.
It felt like a bad dream that was coming true.
And with every once of strength I had, I looked up into you eyes,
And told you how much I loved you that I would be holding strong,
And praying for you.
You took your tender hands
And cupped them around my face, then and there
It felt as if my whole world was falling out of place.
This out of my whole life had to be the worst day,
Then you kissed me, said “goodbye” and went away.
As the days went by without you, then passed to months.
I begin to miss you so very much.
Another week went by, and then I got the worst news ever.
That you were killed in battle,
And I would never get to see your darling face never again forever.
That night I lay on my bed, my heart ripped from my chest,
And bitterly torn.
Crying, thinking, praying, hoping things couldn’t get this bad.
But after telling myself that you was gone,
I never in my life felt so alone.
But as I think back to that day when you had to leave,
And how much I had grieved.
I remember your smiling face, how much you loved me,
And how you vowed to love me until the day you died.
The worst word I ever had to say was "Good Bye".
