For Your Sake
written by Morbid Angel11:04 PM 1/28/05| I know those words comes easily to you, to say you're alright is usually the truth. But only for your sake, I'll say I'm okay, just to hide the scars of a once forgotten day. I've gotta keep myself awake. With every blink my eyelids put on weight, the threat of falling asleep keeps popping up again. And I'm so afraid, that I'll never see another day, that I'll keep saying I'm okay, but only for your sake. To keep a smile on your perfect little face. I don't want to make my problems yours, I'm not keeping secrets, you're all I'm living for. I'm trying to do whats right, I've already lost the war because I failed to win the fight. But I won't lose you. You're all I have left to hold on to. I cut myself again, but you won't understand how much it eases the pain. A tear cannot wash away the blood of a thousand years, and water cannot wash away my sins. I'm never going to win. |
