Only 15yrs old & she stands alone
with a baby in her hand, heart like a stone
tears so freely escape her eyes
as questions fill her head, "why?"
a child so young once full of glee
has nothing, but hope & a baby to feed
- thoughts of teh young boy who stole her pride
he spoked sweet words, pure lies.
Now she prays wishing the hands of time would go back
to the day he said those 3 lil' words, "I'll be back."
he never returned, never called, just vanished away.
she loves him, eventhough he promised he would stay
yet, 9mths later, he's no where to be seen
& in her arms is Baby Maxine
He's only 17, & he thought he loved her
but he dosent know. the 1st thing about raising a daughter
he has to go to school., too embarrased to call her
dosent even know. her parents abandoned her
it's too late now, 9 mths. later & a baby girl
he wished he ruled the word
he loves her, but not enough to tell her
she wouldn't understand, after all it's 9mths. later
from, then on, both never knew laughter
