» Poem: Voilent Tear To Tear The World Apart
Voilent Tear To Tear The World Apart
written by Morbid Angel

I don't want to be nothing to you, no matter how far away I always want to be by your side. It gets so hard for me to stay awake, trying my hardest not to cry. In the early hours of the morning I can become what isn't real, but it's who I want to be, so it's ok to steal. Steal your dreams, I need my own, make my nightmares turn to stone, I don't want to be here anymore. Too many secrets and lies of who you are, too many hours in a day, not long enough apart. But being alone only makes me think, about the world and what could have been, if only I'd listened when you told me to hold you, if only I'd wiped by own tears before I tried to hurt you. Maybe then I wouldn't have to be myself, a day in the life of somebody else, just to escape forever. To stop those ghosts from haunting me, to keep your hands guiding me, into some other place where I can remember. Without being afraid to look back, on everything I've been through, stumbling off track, looking for an answer to the questions in my head, it all comes down to the same damn thing. I love you. It's too hard to be without you, so hard to not hate you, a line so easy to cross...but I always come back to your arms. A heart broken, words unspoken, souls lost, the line has been crossed. But I'm trying to get to the other side, where the grass is always greener, to some place where you never seen her, then maybe you'd still be in love with me. Until you found someone who could give you everything, more then I even have, oh did she give you everything? I wonder if you held her hand. You have become my nightmare. I can't sleep without you here, some empty place, some violent tear, to tear the world apart.
