A Tomb Of A Thousand Knifes
written by Mars_Phoenix01:44 AM 1/31/05A lake I see before me a mass of inky darkness,
Walk on the surface and send ripples down my spine,
Your walking on ice so black it suffocates the light,
Yet still I see through its surface,
Floating in my watery grave these blue eyes
Watched the world grow old.
Until,
You stepped into my circle,
My kingdom - My home.
Press your cheek against my icey tomb,
Salty tears with warmth never felt
By hands so frozen.
A face thats forgotton how to smile
I wear like a mask I hide where
No one would care no one would dare
Look for the boy who drowned in his own madness;
Yet the girl with the smile would reach her hand through the void,
And pull me out from the darkness.
These lungs they burn.
Air fills like a thousand knifes,
She cradles my head in her arms,
Her head resting on mine,
Together these tears flow freely,
The shower curtains look so pale,
Torn down from there rail,
Death grip wrapped in my hand,
This water inside has been rejected,
This body once cold has elected,
Warmth as I'm awake again.
This bath gone so cold,
This dream now so old. |
