» Poem: A Terrible Thought
A Terrible Thought
written by Orelinde
04:51 AM 1/31/05
I had a terrible thought
That I stood alone and in the dark
And in my hand I held the fruit of life
And from this fruit I took a bite
This fruit, it gave me a disease
Which twisted and took control
I screamed and begged, “God please, not me.”
And fell to the floor, my screaming uncontrollable
I could not remember a thing as I woke
The room was flooded with light
And before me stood a mirror
Covered in a sheet of white
I tore off the sheet and looked into the mirror
And in the reflection I saw what the disease had done
The disease had turned me into what I feared most to become
The disease had turned me into
Myself.

This is old and angst filled. I should edit it, just to clean it up a bit, maybe give it some different words, better punctuation and capitalization, but I'm too lazy.

Personally I felt the begining could have been more interesting (no offence) but I loved the twist @ the end. - Amber -
