Orelinde's Poetry Profile

Lastest info from Orelinde:
I suppose the fact that I'm moving to Germany on the fourth of April is "news".

Orelinde's bio:
As far as poetry goes I try to add a twist to my poems. They are all about life and things I have experienced, they just aren't blunt/straight forward. I put a twist on them by using metaphors and thinking of many ways to describe things. They might not all seem to be from life or have feelings in them but if you try to look at them from a different angle perhaps you will get it. I don't enjoy writing or reading most of the "emo/goth/dark" poetry that is out there. Edgar Allen Poe was a great poet but he didn't write "I cut my wrist with a sharp razor blade and watch the crimson blood drip down my arm." which is what I see mostly today. I think it's important to be original with your thoughts and feelings, and though one may think "crimson tears and razor blades" is what everyone likes and wants to see it gets boring.
