The Days Go By

But now she does and you've left her all alone
Why did you have to choose the drugs over her? (why did you do it)
Why did you have to make a mess like that?
She's so through with it

The days go by
And she wonders why
She stays for so long when you only make her cry
How long do you expect her
To take all that you put her through?
The days go by and all she wants is you
She misses you dearly
And she continues to worry
She wants you so badly
Why can't you just come home?
Or at least call her on the phone?
Instead of leaving her all alone?
Late at night
When she turns out the light
She closes her eyes and tries to find
A way to forget about the fights
You always said it was her fault
When she didn't do anything at all
She just wanted you to answer her call
And as the days went by
She wondered why
She stayed for so long when you only made her cry
How long did you expect her
To put up with the stuff you put her through?
Now as the days go by she no longer wants you
