» Poem: With One Last Apology
With One Last Apology
written by Morbid Angel

You don't know how much I blame myself,
For every living secret,
The past I've kept to myself,
I didn't think you'd need it.
No love doesn't mean no heart,
You're too cold, way too cold,
For every dream I shared with you,
A living tour through all the folds,
Come into my world.
You can reach your hand out,
Take hold of nothing,
But theres always something in the air,
Slowly twisting,
Taking it's time breaking.
Dragging out the pain,
You forgot just what you mean to me,
I held you in my thoughts,
Not real enough to touch.
I tried to save us,
I swear it I did,
I tried so hard to show you,
Now it's my turn to cry.
I built a city of stone,
Over a river of tears,
Expected it to hold,
As my ending nears.
I want to apologise,
Take this one last chance to say sorry,
It won't happen again,
I'm already dead.
The moment you read this,
A single tear will run dry,
One last beat,
I tried,
I swear I tried.
