» Poem: What You Said
What You Said
written by suicide_penguin

We've been through so much
We've come so far
Our love has grown stronger
Too strong to fall now
My life revolves around you
But what you said was harsh
I know I should forgive you
I need to for this to last
But what you said it hurt me
Too a thousand knives I had given in
Death does sound so sweet
I promised you not to cut
But how can I not
I need release from the pain
Your words they cut right through me
Blood splattered on the floor
My soul screaming so loud for help
Yet to no one could it be heard
My promise to you is broken
How could I say never again I would cut
Crying a crimson river
Now you can truely see all that I got
A broken heart
An empty soul
Blood stained arms
Rivers down my cheek
Now do you believe
Believe to me you meant the world
I know that you're still mine
But your word is all I got
I know I must forgive you
But what you said to me it hurt
