Army Of Angels
written by Morbid Angel02:02 PM 2/6/05| The impact of the crash back down to Earth has sent my mind flying, but it's set me into a state of realisation. The strength of my heart is stronger then the strength of a nation. The world is not falling from beaneath my feet, I'm still walking around on Earth and everythings alright. Why does my body put up a non-existant fight? I've come to realise I'm not alone in this world, I'm merely a child with a whole lot of heart. I deserve a reason to go on, but I don't believe in God. He sent me my army of angels to cast a light over the shadows, to help me look back on the path that I chose. And remember that everythings going to be alright. Theres some sort of God lurking in the night. These angels might just be mine. Fly high, my bloody angels, before the world ends. And fight with me as I manage to smile, the time taken to get here was worth all the while. The lies I've been told always unfold, and now I just can't believe in you anymore. I wonder if you believe yourself when you bend the truth, you don't even realise what you do. The world is mine and I don't want you in it, set my army of angels to destroy your soul. 'Cause I'm gonna be alright! |
