but you broke my heart

you turn you gaze away
suprised that someone like me
was in so much pain
The pain is there
slicing through
I want to take this blade
and make sure it goes through
As I wake up in the morning
I realize that it was done again
I did not go deep enough
last night was not the end
Each night I dread
to wake up in the morning
realizing that it was just my dreams
that took this pain away
this blade is my escape
I feel I have no control
how you touch me so deep
and you leave me to bleed
If I could see you one last time
as I lay myself to sleep
I would tell you I love you
as I make my final speech
Please don't blame yourself
it wasn't your fault
that things weren't meant to be
but you broke my heart |
