» Poem: Yellow Maid Journalist
Yellow Maid Journalist
written by Orelinde
08:51 AM 2/8/05
Marbles roll around on the floor
and squish beneath the crack of the door.
Insane giggles are heard from inside
but access to them is clearly denied.
"Error, error, error," calls the maid
made a mistake - Sir Slimebag - she laid.
A ring, a knock, a pound, and shouting now;
the butler answers the door, but how
did he get there so quick? When in the kitchen
he did slip and was knocked unconscious. Kittens
play merrily in the foyer, mewing for their curds
and whey, while Rough Riders round up herds
of great American men. Yellow journalism
could send out waves of paternalism
if we all practiced it today.

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
This was an unconscious poem that managed to rhyme. Well it was unconscious Mostly. Uh towards the end I started thinking about U.S. History class and Yellow Journalism and Rough Riders and all that stuff.

I know Iv commented on this fine piece of work already Miss Poe.. But I just had to correct the fools lavishing in their own idiocy.. "This is POETRY!" Understand? Or were the words chosen by the author to complicated for your brains?

Thank you Geno and Dark. No this isn't exactly "random" true I wrote it in an unconscious style but if you would notice what is being said (especially toward the end) you would see where my U.S. History class effected the poem.
