if i cry out

would anyone hear me?
when i scream in pain,
will anyone care?
but no one will hear me,
for i smother my cries
with happiness and laughter.
how much more can i take?
how much longer will
my blood soothe
my aching heart?
i will keep living and hiding my pain
because i don't know
how to "just be myself"
who am i?
i have hidden for so long,
i have become my hate...
my suffering...
can you see behind
this clever act?
do you see the tears in my eyes?
if they fell on you
would you even notice?
but i will never cry.... |
