» Poem: I Try
I Try
written by psycho_bunny
07:44 AM 2/9/05
I try to scrub away the pain,
I try to wash away the disdain,
I try to smother out my tears,
yearning for the years,
when I can be free.

There are so many problems in life,
confusions,
delusions,
deceptions
and lies.

How do you know which path to take?
Where to leave the weeds and which ones to pull aside?
How far and how long will my journey be?
Will there be hard years that I won't be able to take?
How much time do I have before these decisions I must make?

I hope and I wish,
for the day enlightening answers will come to me.
For the day things begin to make sense,
when dreams seem less like reality.

I try to scrub away the pain,
I try to wash away the disdain,
I try to smother out my tears,
yearning for the years,
when I can be free.
