Pictures

To say they were fading is not the honest answer as I sit here.
The memory still lingers day after angst filled day.
Thinking of the smile that I need to greet me each day helps time to go by,
Though now the days seem to go so slowly and no good time draws night.
My heart feels both light and heavy, but my thoughts keep me aware,
Aware that our time is not done and seemingly nor has it begun.
The answers to my questions are not easily reached, not easliy gotten.
This I can handle it as long as I know that nothing is in vain,
for once the feeling I live with is not so bleak, so unlit.
There seems to be a spark of light I have tried to dim,
Though now the light seems brighter with a bit of hope for me and for it.
I make no demands from you,
I ask nothing you can not give.
I only ask you to remember the feeling of holding me again and please let that part live.
The scent of you still lingers in my senses and in my mind,
How could two people who are seemingly meant to be live a life so unkind?
If I have to endure this for you to be a part of me then that time has begun, and if the time never is for us again I will have the night where you held me and let me be yours.
I know not what is to come, nor what is to be.
I only know that the feelings I have for you are here deep inside of me. |
