For the hopeful lovers

Isn't it a drain on the mind, to learn how they stick the knife. Can't help but be any other way. This is what you have to look forward to on valentine's day. Drop your roses in the rain, do the smart think my friend, walk away! Iv got some candy for you sweetie, its called you can shut the fuck up and kneel. No, these wounds will never heal, they shall never congeal. Bleed into apathy, bleed into misery, bleed into the dark that you thought of me. Giving everything, and receiving nothing, you poor pathetic fools with your sympathetic ways. I know soon you'll hear those words you'll never forget, the ones that will linger inside of your naive little head for days. Those will be the days you seek refuge from all of the ridicule. Those will be the days you awake to find that all of this shit you called a relationship was nothing but a fake. Drama, remorse, gifts, hugs, kisses, love. A sick joke you decided to jump into. And like you, many fools will follow. Deep into your fluttering foot steps, the ones around her/his heart, and soon they shall know. That from the start, it eventually falls apart. |
